Installation and Performance dedicated to femicides at St.Marienkirche

My performance "no longer hurt" ,dedicated to femicides, was part of the Opening of my solo exhibition "into my garden come". Situated within the sacred walls of St. Marien Church in Frankfurt (Oder) "no longer hurt" transformed the space into a site of ritual: quiet yet charged, where viewers were invited to reflect on violence, memory, and release.

Forty white paper shoes ,crafted from paper, a delicate material that reflects the transience and vulnerability of life. White: a color symbolizing innocence, purity, and the hope of spiritual transcendence. Each one stands as a silent memorial to a woman taken from life by force—a victim of femicide, shattered by masculine violence. Red threads unravel—threads of blood, of suffering, of untold

stories—connecting past pain to the present moment. The installation comprises forty shoes, marking the forty days traditionally believed to signify the soul’s passage from this world to the next.

As an installation is open for visitors during the period from 6.September until 11.October in St. Mary´s Church. The visual piece is accompanied by a recorded poem by Nevi Kaninia, recited by me, with Words of deception, pain, and transcendence. The poem seeps into the space—whispering, accusing, unraveling. Paired with a layered, evocative soundscape by Anthony Palaskas, the audio becomes a sonic thread that binds the visible and invisible, the lost and the remembered.
